Rationale

I chose this lesson of colors since it is being used for Halloween. Students were
able to experiment colors. Students also felt that they were in a Science class not
only in a Spanish class. At the beginning, students were wondering for what the
food coloring was going to be used for. Students had the sensation for food. Using
the song of Dia de los muerto students enjoyed seeing pictures and hearing music
in Spanish. Teacher used the guided discovery, and students were able to respond;
regardless, that they took some time to figure the topic since they were just seeing
pictures, Los Finados. Students were able to notice which two mixtures gives a
colour. In the closure students were able to write as many colors they did saw. The
conclusion, using the activity Graffiti wall was very interesting. Students were
answering and hearing their classmate answer, and deciding whether it was correct
or wrong. Students were working very cooperatively during this lesson.
