God’s Economy (2) Lessons 7

Daniel F. Marquez Zamboanga City FT2

Galatians 6:1-16 tells us that as believers we are already crucified to the

religious world that we may live a new creation. The boast of the Apostle Paul is
not in the flesh as that of the Judaizers but only in the cross of Christ which
terminated the relationship between him and the religious world. That is why
circumcision and uncircumcision which are a matter of ritual ordinances in religion
does not matter but that whether or not we are in the new creation by an organic
union with the Truine God is what matters. We need to walk by the rule, that is, to
walk by the Spirit in our spirit that we may have peace and mercy as the true
Israel of God. Un maintaining this peace, Paul was able to reveal that he bore he
brands of Jesus which mark the ownership of Paul as His slave. It also signify the
characteristics of the life that is of the Lord Jesus as the One who was crucified,
submissive, obedient to God, doing the will of the father and seeking not His own
glory. We must be brought to such an experience until our peace is undisturbed by
anything which will enable us to experience the bountiful supply of the Spirit as
grace.

We are already severed from the religion to the Lord. In order for us to experience
continual peace we need to bear the brands of Jesus. It so happens when we take the
genuine way of the Lord. It is only by the Lord’s grace and mercy that we choose
such a life as bearing the brands of Jesus that we may keep on enjoying peace and
further enjoy the Spirit as grace to us. This means that if we will choose to take
the way of His economy, opposition, oppression, and persecution from the enemy
awaits us. But these are nothing compared to the enjoyment of Himself as the Spirit
as grace that we will gain.
