EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

There's a famous saying, "Know what your customers want most and what your company
does best. And then focus on where those two meet." Adhering to the above saying the
business idea of 'games' was developed.

The first and foremost objective of the business was to earn maximum profits
with least cost to the organization by providing maximum satisfaction to the target
customers. Along with it, offering a fun - filled experience to the students as well as the
teachers in between the hectic schedules of college was the aim. The organization was
also set up with an objective to enhance own's knowledge through the practical
experience gained in the work field which will surely help in the future.

The target audience in the area where the business was set up is mostly covered
with college going young adults. Games would prove to deviate students from the
monotony of college life and draw them towards the business. Also, the games were
chosen by taking into account the various trends followed these days.

The research design for the organization was plain and lucid. Emphasis was given
on creativity and innovation in the games. Departments pertaining to different roles were
assigned to each member according to the skills of the respective member. The major
roles were leadership, production, accountancy and marketing. Each department had their
own set of responsibilities. The department allocation was the leader's responsibility. The
leaders ensured that there was optimum utilization of time and resources.

The first day of the week was highly anticipated but after two days it was
followed by a exponential decrease in the sales and crowd. This was due to the fact that a
majority of the audience had left for the holidays. Apart from that, the whole week
witnessed different people coming from different background who contributed towards
the success of the organization's endeavors. To sum it up, the business project was
altogether a great learning experience.

OBJECTIVES & SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

Scope

In Learning: The activities carried out during the period of project were highly
practical and imparted a lot of experience and knowledge to the members. It
helped in learning from the errors and obstacles.

In Future: The learning and experience gained during the project can be brought
to use in future projects and at workplace.

Mission Statement: We strive to provide our customers impeccable services to generate

Business Idea: The idea behind the business was to stand out in a market where everyone
was competing against each other either by selling food and beverages or apparels.
Keeping that in consideration the organization decided to put up gaming activities.

Idea Screening: The idea of the project was largely based on innovative and interesting
games that would stand out in the market. The response that was generated on day 1
pointed towards keeping different games each day so as to keep the audience curious
and excited. After checking the external factors it was observed that inspite of no direct
competition in games we faced rigid competition from businesses providing products as
opposed to our business which provided services. To overcome that, we had to offer
various discounts and rewards to the customers. The only game that was consistently
bringing profits was 'Lucky 7'. So considering the market demand for that game it was
retained for all five days

Achievements & Financial results of the business: The crowd that the organization
attracted was hugely pleased by the exciting activities and games that were designed. The
customers were highly impressed by the uniqueness of our business amongst others.

List of competition: The Unique Selling Proposition of our business was the fact that we
stood out as an alternative to various other organizations that only provided food or
apparels. This reduced the tensed competition that was already going on among other
businesses.

Marketing Strategy development: The marketing strategy was employed in a very


appealing & attracting manner which generated a lot of audience. The strategy of 'word
of mouth ' also helped garner a great number

INTERNAL FACTORS

 CUSTOMERS: They are willing to pay & play for the games as it had an
affordable price range for all types of customers & the second factor was that there
we no other business which had games.

 COMPETITION & EMPLOYEES: There was very less degree of competition


[i.e. As we are the only sellers who were our service of games]. Instead is had a
‘challenge of number of sales.’ As the product price was low, so to cover the cost
& increase the profits it had to sell more games.

The fact that our organization was the only one which provided it’s services through
games gave us an edge over others. There was no direct competition to our business.
Another major factor that contributed towards our success was the target audience that
comprised mostly of teenagers and young adults who are instinctively inclined to such
activities. The pricing of games was kept pretty nominal to ensure maximum
participation from the audience. A unique marketing strategy was employed by one of the
members which garnered a lot of customers. These reasons were the key success factors
of the organization.

PEST ANALYSIS
A PEST analysis is an analysis of the external macro-environment that affects all
firms. P.E.S.T. is an acronym for the Political, Economic, Social, and Technological
factors of the external macro-environment. Such external factors usually are beyond the
firm's control and sometimes present themselves as threats.

Main objectives of managerial economics discussed with appropriate facts and figures in
relation to this activity.

As stated in our objectives we have reused our material like cups for various games.
On the third day as we had planned the games didn’t work out so we used our backup
plan and accomplished it so as to meet the days target and we almost met the targets
thought for the day.

In this way we have accomplished the objectives of the business provided and we
hope we have satisfied our consumers.

PRICE AND OUTPUT DETERMINATION:


The pricing was strategized with a view to pull even the most unwilling
potential customer to our business. The prices were quite economical. Every college
going adult could afford to avail the range of services that we provided. There was a
discount for people coming in groups and pairs. To add to their joy, the customers who
won the respective activity were rewarded with a gift of their choice.
As it was a monopoly for the members because there were less sellers who were
providing a service to customers.

Monopoly refers to a market structure in which there is a single producer or seller


that has a control on the entire market.

This single seller deals in the products that have no close substitutes and has a
direct demand, supply, and prices of a product.

Therefore, in monopoly, there is no distinction between an one organization


constitutes the whole industry.
RECOMMENDATIONS

According to the services the firm provided, these corrective actions would have made a
change in the business by getting more amount of customers so as to increase the sales &
profit.

 Place change: cause of trees, people crossing from the little space even though
provided with a gateway, moving from the tent.
 Product change: introducing more no. of games
 Time slot: as it was festive season so the students would prefer going to their
native places.
 Weather issue: as it was a month of rains so there were rains and no shed was
provided.
 Space problem: less amount of space provided so 2 tables wouldn’t fit in it so it
was necessary to buy only 1 table.

CONCLUSION

The organization was tasked with the prime objective of earning profits and
gaining practical experience in the field of Business environment, financial management,
and managerial economics. Through various experiments, plans and obstacles the
members of the group learnt business negotiation, customer interaction, strategizing,
workplace management and meeting deadlines. The business started off with an excellent
response covering up the total cost of the company on the second day itself then went
through a few ups and downs which is a part and parcel of every organization. But at the
end of the day it was a wholesome learning experience. The skills learnt in this period are
relevant to the future endeavors that the members might take up. To sum up all that has
been stated, the project was a huge success
