Civic Welfare Training Service

1. How can you contribute to the state as a student of NSTP?

As a student of National Service Training Program there are so many things that I can do
to make a big difference in the country. I can participate or initiate cleanup drives in the
community, I can join tree planting, and teaching out-of-school youth. But for me the
most important knowledge that I gain is being well-mannered and disciplined person,
because I believe that everything starts in doing small things. Let's just say that
discipline is just small thing
to change this country, but the truth is that little things are what the country needs.

2. In your own words, how do you define National Service Training Program?
National Service Training Program is a training program for students or youth by
enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness by developing their physical,
moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well being. This program molds students to
become more responsible and well-mannered youth.

3. Have you participated in voluntary, civic consciousness activity, or community

immersion programs before? Tell us about your experience.
I have participated in many civic consciousness activity such as cleaning sea side, and
tree planting, but the most memorable experience for me was we went to mountain for
our indigenous brothers and sisters to distribute foods and give toys to children there.
Even though it is difficult to climb mountain, but when I see those smiles in faces of the
children, all my fatigue was gone. It is pleasure to give something to other and them
happy in a simple way.
