Instructions for Midterms and Final exams

• DONOT leave the meeting until the TA/instructor dismisses the session – you may be
required to stay back up to 10 minutes after the end of the session should the
TA/instructor have any question.
o The TA/instructor will send you a private message if they wish to talk to you
• You will need access to both a cellphone and a laptop/desktop/tablet computer (and
should be able to sign into Canvas on both devices)
o Please ensure your camera is working on the phone
o Please connect your phone to a power outlet (if you are using a laptop or a tablet,
please connect it to the outlet as well).
o Please put your phone in airplane mode and turn on only the WIFI (or disable all
Email / SMS / WhatsApp etc. notification)
• Your problems will be distributed one at a time, and each problem will be timed
separately. All problems will be distributed via Canvas.
• Please log your Blackboard Ultra conference room through Canvas at least 5min before
the class.
• Please arrange your phone at least 3 feet in landscape-orientation from you so that we
can see your face, your hands, and your computer screen (do not show your actual work)

• Do not wear any headphone (you may wear earplugs if they are working in a noisy
environment, but the TA may take a closer look at it)
• Please move all nonessential items away from you.
• You are required to scan/take photo of your submission with your SFU student id (make sure it
doesn’t hide anything on the paper).
• You will need to upload each question to Crowdmark
