INTRODUCCION

El objetivo de esta actividad es comprender y traducir textos relacionado con exportación e

importación de productos, es una gran habilidad para ser aplicada en cualquier empresa,
aplicándola con los clientes además en nuestro entorno laboral y con mejores oportunidades de
trabajo con compañías multinacionales.

The objective of this activity is to understand and translate texts related to the export and import
of products, it is a great skill to be applied in any company, applying it with clients also in our
work environment and with better job opportunities with multinational companies.

Market Watch: Top 10 Colombian Exports and Imports

 Possessing one of the grandest economies in South America, the country holds
maximum potential from colombia exports and imports with return on investment.

In 2017, Colombia’s international trade accounted for 34.9% of the national GDP. The
country has experienced a five times increase in foreign trade over the last ten years. This,
according to the Economy Complexity Index (ECI), makes Colombia’s economy the 53rd
most complex in the world.

This growth in international trade is partly due to the numerous trade relations with other
countries. In 2012, Colombia entered a free trade with the United States which saw a
significant boost in trade with North America.

In the same year, Colombia launched the Pacific Alliance along with Chile, Mexico, and Peru.
The aim was to build trade relations between Latin America and emerging Asian markets.

Currently, Colombia’s main trading partners include the United States, China, Germany, the
Netherlands, and neighboring Mexico, Brazil, and Panama.

Despite all this, Colombia still has a negative trade balance. The country spends more on
imports than it makes in exports.

In this article, we look at popular Colombian goods exchanging hands across international

An export in international trade is a good or service produced in one country that is sold into
another country. The seller of such goods and services is an exporter; the foreign buyer is
an importer. Export of goods often requires the involvement of customers authorities. From
the buyer's point of view an export is an import.

 Intaenational trade – Comercio internacional

International trade allows countries to expand their markets for both goods and services
that otherwise may not have been available domestically. As a result of international trade,
the market is more competitive which results in more competitive pricing which brings a
cheaper product home to the consumer.

 La idea principal es dar a conocer que el comercio internacional ha ido mejorando

internacionalmente, el país ha mejorado en los últimos 10 años el comercio exterior
hacia otros países. También es importante destacar que Colombia entró en un libre
comercio con los Estados Unidos que vio un impulso significativo en el comercio con
América del Norte. Permitiendo a grandes y pequeñas empresas mejorar su economía
y puedan exportar e importar productos hacia otros países. Actualmente, los principales
socios comerciales de Colombia incluyen a Estados Unidos, China, Alemania, los Países
Bajos y los vecinos México, Brasil y Panamá. A pesar de todo esto, Colombia todavía
tiene una balanza comercial negativa. El país gasta más en importaciones que en
exportaciones.
