For instance, the BMI of a person who is 5’3" and weighs 125 lbs is calculated as follows:

lbs is calculated as follows: Multiply the weight in pounds by 0.45 (the metric conversion factor)
BMI Categories:
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5–24.9
Overweight = 25–29.9
Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
