COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING

The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is an approach to the teaching of

language between interaction as the medium and the final objective of the study. Their
objective is the ability to communicate in the target language. Also, it does not use a
series of books but, works on the development of oral / verbal skills before reading
and writing. CLT is a holistic approach.

Therefore, for students to learn it’s important that the teacher generate experience in
them, through activities generated by him, where each student has a role and work as
a team. Thus, students generate interaction and share knowledge. In addition, both
the teacher and the students don’t give relevance to the mistakes, they already think
that it’s natural as a human being to make mistakes, but if you try to improve them.

CLT focuses on the student. Therefore, students have the responsibility of their own
learning. It could be said that this method is immersed in the day-to-day of the
students. For the execution of the CLT, the associated techniques are: role plays,
scrambled sentences, language games and image strip stories. In conclusion, we can
say that it is the method is important for student as teachers.
