1.0 INTRODUCTION
Integrated Final Project is a subject comprising of various aspects of the building industry.
Emphasis will be given to the aspects of organizational management, technology, design,
property, building economic and financing, law, communications, project planning and
management. The subject encompasses and integrates all courses studied in the Diploma
program. Students are given exposure to up-to-date process and practices. With this, students
will be knowledgeable and skillful in handling works in the real situations. Students are required to
submit a group report in stages and at the end of the semester, each group must present their
works to audience.

5. Building Condition Assessment (CO3) 7 7 Min 15
– Prepare a diagnosis building defect report, suggest the remedial
action should be taken, cost for repairing work and
recommendation. In other word, prepare a building maintenance
audit.
6. Maintenance Strategy (CO3) 9 9 Min 10
– Report on existing strategy implemented by the organization as to
achieve efficient maintenance management i.e Benchmarking, KPI
approach etc.
7. Legal Aspect (CO3) 10 10 Min 5
- Landlord data, tenancy aspect (contract and agreement),
assessment and building services contract, building management,
owner responsibility to any fees, legal aspect that bind the
building to any authority/parties/regulation/act.

– Building economics and financial strategy, budget preparation
(income & expenditure), Cash-Flow for maintenance department,
expenditure flow (show in a month, a year and projection 3 years in
the future.

– Determine the problem/issues arise in the existing
maintenance management. Recommendation to overcome the
issues on each chapter.
