1.0 INTRODUCTION

Integrated Final Project is a subject comprising of various aspects of the building industry.
Emphasis will be given to the aspects of organizational management, technology, design,
property, building economic and financing, law, communications, project planning and
management. The subject encompasses and integrates all courses studied in the Diploma
program. Students are given exposure to up-to-date process and practices. With this, students
will be knowledgeable and skillful in handling works in the real situations. Students are required to
submit a group report in stages and at the end of the semester, each group must present their
works to audience.

2.0 COURSE OUTCOME / OBJECTIVE

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

1. Propose an integrated report consisting of multi-disciplinary approach for maintenance


management with selected case study (A5);
2. Integrate an appropriate working culture consisting of good values and ethics initiatives for
interim progress assessment (A4);
3. Display the wide array of skills, knowledge and applications necessary for the successful
completion of project and teamwork (A5).

3.0 SCOPE & OVERVIEW OF THE BSR330 COURSE

Final Project is a subject comprising of various aspects of the building industry. Emphasis will be

recommendation. In other word, prepare a building maintenance

achieve efficient maintenance management i.e Benchmarking, KPI
approach etc.

4.0 METHOD OF TEACHING

The method of teaching for this course is by lecture, site visit (group arrangement), consultation
and final projects.

5.0 ASSESSMENT

This course is assessed in THREE (3) ways, which are:

1) Preparation of Report (Submission Week 15) 50%


- Studio Session for every week – written report based on chapter

2) Interim Progress Presentation (Week 6 & 12) 30%


- Submission of report and presentation slide
