Benefits after completion of Water Supply Project:

 Equitable distribution of drinking water to the entire population at required terminal

pressure of 12m.
 100 % population covered with metered (Continuous 24 x 7) daily assured water
supply.
 Significant increase in revenue for water supply.
 Upgraded water supply system to meet the water supply requirement for next 30
years.
 Provision of water supply for the uncovered areas.
 Reduction in medical expenses.
 Water supply rate shall be improved to 135 LPCD and Minimizing NRW/unaccounted
water up to 7% through proper metering system.

SEWERAGE SYSTEM:
The whole Pali town has been divided in to 10 Sewerage zones, 8 zones are covered under
UIDSSMT, AMRUT and RUIDP Phase-III.
Remaining 2 zones are sloping away from city area; moreover the area is less developed
with less number of road network. Sewage Collection system with an independent treatment
system can be provided in future, once the area gets fully developed.

Sewage Treatment Plants:

 7.5 MLD capacity STP based on ASP process has been constructed under
UIDSSMT scheme.
 15 MLD capacity STP based on SBR process has been constructed under RUIDP
Phase-III.
 Total installed capacity of STP’s at Pali city is 22.50 MLD with a gap of 9.38 MLD for
year 2031. Presently about 10-11 MLD Sewage flow is reaching to STP.

Sewer Network:
About 98.5 Km sewer network is laid under UIDSSMT Scheme.
Under RUIDP Phase-III project 358 Km sewer network is proposed out of which about 292
Km sewer has been laid till date, work is under progress for remaining length of 66 Km.

Benefits after completion of Sewerage Project:

 About 80% of human diseases are water borne and water related due to poor
sanitation.
 The main advantage of waste water system is the prevention of the spread of
disease through communities and the prevention of pollution and maintaining rivers
and water bodies in a healthy and ecologically sound condition.
 Septic tanks will be by-passed, no storage of dirt at houses resulting no foul gases
and healthy environment.
 Road side drains will be dried after house sewer connections, residents get rid form
foul smell and unhygienic conditions.
 The waste water is treated in a controlled manner and the effluent comply with
certain quality criteria.
 Sewerage systems have limited responsibility of households (from own property to
nearest street connection), institutions responsible for the conveyance and treatment
systems.

Reuse of Treated effluent: Pali city faces acute scarcity of water throughout the year, so
optimum utilization of treated effluent from STP’s in an efficient safe manner is must, so that
every drop of water is utilized. In this connection RUIDP created assets for re-use of treated
effluent at STP campus.
Municipal council, Pali is getting revenue by selling of Treated effluent to industries @ 7 Rs.
per KL.
Presently about 2 MLD i.e. 2000 KL treated effluent is distributing to industries and following
will be revenue of Municipal Council, Pali.

Rs. 14,000 per day

Rs. 4 20,000 per month
Rs. 50 40,000 per year
As demand of treated effluent will increase revenue will be increased.
As per PHED Notification dated 05.11.2015 following are the tariff:
Industrial Rate:

Monthly Consumption Rate per 1000 Litres (Rs.)

(a) For consumption upto first 15,000 litres 35
(b) For consumption exceeding 15,000 and upto 40,000 litres 45
(c) For next consumption above 40,000 litres 50

Looking to the above rates, tariff for treated effluent should be atleast half of clear water,
following are the suggested tariff:

Monthly Consumption Rate per 1000 Litres (Rs.)

(a) For consumption upto first 15,000 litres 17.5
(b) For consumption exceeding 15,000 and upto 40,000 litres 22.5
(c) For next consumption above 40,000 litres 25
