You have been dedicatedly working in a Food & Beverage manufacturing company, Invictus
Foods & Beverage Limited, for 15 years. Only recently, you have been promoted to your most
coveted position, i.e., the CEO of the Company. However, the COVID-19 situation has abruptly
served a massive blow on your face. Under the present scenario you must revisit the plans,
policies of the functional areas – Marketing, HR, Production & R&D and IT. In the process you
must analyze the prevailing managerial practices in the departments and adopt the changes to
operate in the current scenario.

organization as a whole? Describe how you will manage the attitude of existing work force to
proposed changes. Explain how you will implement the changes.
Organizational change is a process through which an organization moves forward and evolve.
Change agent: Someone who acts as a catalyst and assumes the responsibility for managing the change
process
1) External factors:
Changing consumer wants and needs: Co0nsumer preference is a primary catalyst for
organizational change.
New Laws: Government laws require changes in how managers must conduct business.
Evolving technology: Technological changes lead to organizational changes as many jobs
become obsolete and many new jobs are created
Economic changes: Changes in economy can have substantial effect on organizational
change.
For example: Nokia phone’s failure to adopt to new and more prominent technology to Android
system resulted in their loss of market share and eventual sale to Microsoft.

For example: An organization being affected positive or negatively because of new equipment being
