Executive Summary

What would happen if they can’t have a house immediately? would they be safe if they will sleep in
the street temporarily?. Based on what we observed in visiting them. They don’t have any roof to protect
them from the heat of the sun and from the rain. Their stuffs were everywhere and they are struggling with
their situation. As what the issue before in Lahug, Cebu City Which the property is owned by the University
of the Philippines. People were angry because they didn’t inform them about the demolition and they didn’t
even get any relocation site. At least in our situation they will have a relocation site but they must still build
their houses. Because of the demolition they lost their home and may result that people don’t have a
shelter due to lacking of money.

As we noticed people who are victim in this demolition is not safe right now and they have nothing
to protect themselves from the calamities that may occur. And also they don’t have enough money to build
their houses as soon as possible. In visiting them and observing their situation they are struggling on
finding enough money to start building their houses. As we asked the victims, majority of them said that
their main problem is their financial needs in building their houses. We know that people has their own
initiative that if they don’t have houses to live in or the head of demolition team don’t give them a relocation
site immediately, they’ll find a way or go to their relatives. But as we all know that not all of the victims has a
relatives that near in their places they don’t have enough money to use in traveling far.

As an architect we have a proposal on helping them building their houses. Just a simple house that
they have a shelter to protect them from danger, a house like a “bahay kubo”. We should build them house
in order to make them comfortable and safe. We encourage you to approve our proposal “BAGONG
BUHAY, BAGONG BAHAY: FOR THE VICTIM OF DEMOLITION” and help us financially for the materials
that we will use in building their houses. We choose this solution in order for them to have a safe and
comfortable house to live immediately. Approving this proposal is a way to help these less fortunate people
at least to make them happy and away from miserable life. Because we believe in a saying “Helping one
person might not change the world, but it could change the world of that person”.
II. Purpose

The purpose of this study is to help the victims of demolition and also to make our company known
as well. We help them in building their houses, they can also help as in building the name of our company.
The main problem of this project is people were struggling on how they start in building their house due of
not having enough money to buy materials they needed.

This project will be a very big help to people because this will be the best way to make their lives
less struggle. If we help in building their houses, they will be safe and they’ll have a comfortable place to
stay after that. They will not be struggling in finding money to buy the materials needed in building their
houses.

This mission/project really fits to our company because if we help them, our company’s name will
be expose and it will be known to many people. This mission will help to our company because many
people will know about our business, the result of this project matters a lot this will be the bases of people
on how our company work. And that may lead people to help their project and be their architect and their
infrastructure.
III. Project Description

In making this project we gather some orientation so that people will be aware to our project for
them. And before anything else the people who are involve in this project will make a plan on how will be
the flow of the project. We plan everything in making this project on how it would be going starting day one
until the last day, so that the people will be satisfied for the result of this project.

This project is very unique than the other projects because we are the only company who has the
will to help these people to build their houses. Unlike to others that is giving help yet they want something in
return, but for us we are willing to help them so that we can share our ability to people and also our main
target for this project is to help them and gave them a safe, comfortable place to stay. They will be satisfied
and contented in our project without expecting something back from them.

People who will be benefited in this project will be the victim of the demolition because they will
have a comfortable home to stay that didn’t cost any amount of money because of us. The only thing they
can give is their service, they help us in constructing their houses. And of course our company will be
benefited because this project will be the way to make our company known to people. As a result, people
will be interested to our works and want to have an architect from our company.
IV. EVALUATION

It is possible that this project will be successful and the people who are benefited in this project will
have a comfortable place to stay and also they will be safe with calamities that may come. Also our
company will grow and will be successful.

We can measure our success in this project when the people’s feedback to our works is all
positive. And in a weeks after, we can see that their situation is good that they are happy and comfortable
living there. And for our company we’ll be getting more projects from other people and to other company
also.
