“WELCOME”

So now you are good and ready to start! Do you have your working calendar and
your notebook in front of you? What do you think about the forum?
On the menu today there are four different dishes:
First, we are going to look at what a language is. You all speak a language so you
can already give an answer to that question. But is it easy to learn English when
your mother tongue is French?
Second, we will compare English and French. English has a lot in common with
French so, in a way, there are easy parts to learn but there are also a lot of
differences. It is good to be aware of these differences when starting the
course.
Third, we will look at different learning habits and tips to learn a language.
Your job is to make a list of your favorite learning tips in your notebook.
The last part is about your learning style and preference. You will discover the
best way for you to learn by answering basic questions. This activity will help you
choose the tips that correspond to your learning style.
This is the menu for this week. At the end of each module, you will receive the
menu for the week after to get an idea of what we are going to do next time.
So let’s get started! Maybe you would really like a slice of pizza but I hope you
