Level 2 God is the Creator

Objective : To encourage the children and to give a picture that God is the creator
of all things.

Lesson proper:

1 . Did the mountains and the trees just happen?

Were the flowers always there?
Did the stars put themselves in the sky?
No! God put them there.

2 . Did the lions and the bears just happen?

Were the birds always in the air?
Did the fish put themselves in the sea?
No! God put them there.

B. Memory Verse:

Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

C.Story Telling:
The Story of Creation.

Day 1 : Night and Day

Day 2 : Sky and the Air (heaven)
Day 3 : Sea, Land, Plant Life
Day 4 : Light Bearers (moon, sun, stars)
Day 5 : Creatures in the water and air
Day 6 : Animals of the earth and Man
Day 7 : God rested

Story: On the first day, And God said, Let there be light; and there was light. And
God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night.
On the second day, And God said, Let there be an expanse in the midst of the
waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.
And God called the expanse Heaven.
On the third day, And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of
the waters He called Seas; And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed
aaccording to their kind, and trees bearing fruit with their seed in them
aaccording to their kind.
On the fourth day, And God said, Let there be light-bearers in the expanse of
heaven to separate the day from the night, And God made the two great light-
bearers, the greater light-bearer to rule the day and the lesser light-bearer to
rule the night, and the stars.
On the fifth day, And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living animals,
and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of heaven.
On the sixth day, And God said, Let the earth bring forth living animals according
to their kind, cattle and creeping things and animals of the earth according to
their kind; And God created man ain His own image; in the image of God He created
him; male and female He created them.
And on the seventh day God finished His work which He had done, and He rested on
the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
Activity : Make the children identify the pictures shown if they are creatures in
the land, water or air.
