PROJECT FACILITIES

1 Project Facilities

The Contractor shall construct the Project Facilities in accordance with the
provisions of this Agreement. Such Project Facilities shall include:

(a) toll plaza[s];

(b) roadside furniture;

(c) pedestrian facilities;

(d) Landscaping

(e) truck lay-byes;

(f) bus-bays and bus shelters;

(g) rest areas and public utility centers

(h) street lighting & high mast lighting

(i) Emergency Medical Services/ Medical Aid Post

(j) Highway Patrol Unit/Traffic Aid Post

(k) Crane Services

(l) Communication System

(m) Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS)

(n) Rain Water Harvesting

(o) others

2 Description of Project Facilities

Each of the Project Facilities are briefly described below:

a) Toll Plazas : Provision for 01 No. at Ch. 28/500

b) Road side Furniture shall be provided as follows: -

(i) Traffic Signs and Pavement Markings

Traffic signs and pavement markings shall include road side signs, overhead
signs, curve mounted signs and road marking along the project highway. The
locations for these provisions shall be finalised in consultation with
Authority’s Engineer and as per latest IRC Standard.

(ii) Concrete Cats eye, Crash Barrier, Metal beam crash barrier,
Separators (MS railings)
Cats eye shall be provided thorough length of the project as per the spacings
mentioned in IRC.

Installation of delineators (Roadway Indicators, Hazard markers, Object

markers) 80 to 100 cm high above ground level, painted black and white.
Shall be provided at the locations directed by AE.

Cautionary / Warning sign board shape of equilateral triangle of 90 cm sides

made out of 14 guage (2 mm) thick aluminium sheet, Shall be provided at the
locations directed by AE.

thermoplastic reflective paint of apprived colour or compound for traffic

lane strips of 3 mm thick Shall be provided at the locations directed by AE.
At centre and edges of the road as per the guidelines of relevant IRC code.

The minimum length of 6.20 km (including LHS & RHS) Km Metal beam
crash barrier and separator (M.S. railings) shall be provided as per Schedule
D and for safety of traffic & users. . The locations shall be finalised in
consultation with Authority Engineer. Increase in length shall not be
considered under change of scope.
(iii) Traffic Safety Devices in consultation with Authority’s Engineer &
Latest IRC standards
(iv) Boundary Stones shall be placed throughout the project road as per
schedule ‘D’
(v) Hectometer / Kilometer Stones as per schedule ‘D’
(vi) Solar Traffic blinker signal (L.E.D) shall be provided at intersections.
(vii) Gantry structure shall be provided at the Start and end point of the road and
at the stretches where four lanning/ urban stretches begins

c) Pedestrian Facilities

The additional pedestrians’ facilities in the form of guard rails, footpath, lighting etc.
shall be provided in built-up area and high embankment of structures.
For proper approaches to adjoining agricultural fields along excavated drains,
900mm dia. NP2 pipes for about minimum 7.5m length or length as per width of

road with adequate cushion over pipe at an interval of 500 m on both sides &
wherever required as per site requirements in consultation with Authority Engineer
shall be provided.
d) Landscaping and Tree Plantation

Landscaping of the highway shall be done as per IRC: SP-21-2009 on, but not limited
to, the following:
• Median
• Grade Separated intersections
• Entry and Exit ramp
• At grade islands of intersection locations
• Landscaping and road side plantation shall be provided in accordance with
the Manual of Specifications and Standards as referred in Schedule B and D.
Contractor Shall be responsible for implementation of Environment
Management Plan (EMP) on the project. The cost of EMP shall be Bourne by
Contractor.
• In case of availability of space between proposed ROW and side drain, tree
plantation shall be done as per IRC: SP-21-2009.

e) Truck Lay-byes: Nos.

Truck lay-bays on either side of the road are given below; however, suitable
locations shall be decided in consultation with Authority’s Engineer:

f) Bus bays & Bus Shelters: 05 Nos

Bus Bays & bus shelter shall be provided at locations given below. The Bays and
shelter shall be designed based on IRC-SP-73 – 2015, Clause 12.6 and Figure 12.3.

g) Rest Area: NIL

h) Street Lighting & High Mast Lighting

i. Street/Highway Lighting
Street Light: Street lighting on decorative lamp post with LED /energy efficient
lighting system of standard make with minimum 40 Lux capacity shall be provided @
30m interval for entire project highway. Street lights shall be provided with dual
lights on single pole and single lights on single pole. The height of street light pole
shall be about 9m above FRL and that of high mast shall be 25m. The street light
arrangement is given in following table:

numbers of street lights are indicative and minimum specified. The actual
numbers of street lights shall be determined by the Contractor in accordance
with the Manual requirements with approval from the Authority's Engineer.
Any increase in the numbers specified in this Clause of Schedule C shall not
constitute a Change of Scope.
ii. High Mast Lighting
High mast lighting shall be provided at Major junctions, Flyovers toll plaza
and Bus Bay /Truck Lay byes using LED / energy efficient lighting system.
The high mast shall be provided at required locations:
Note: The above specified locations are minimum specified. If required the contractor
shall provide High Mast lightning wherever necessary in consultation with the
Authority Engineer. However, this shall not be treated as change of scope.
iii. Solar lights blinkers shall be provided at major & minor junctions etc.
iv. The lighting work shall be got done from the qualified specialised agency.
v. The scope include providing entire lighting systems, trenching, underground /
building in cabling, transformers etc and obtaining electric supply /
approval from concern Govt. department such as MSECDL, MSEB etc.
i) Emergency Medical Services/Medical Aid Post: NIL

j) Highway Patrol Unit/Traffic Aid Post: NIL

k) Crane Services: NIL

l) Communication System: NIL

m) Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) : NIL

n) Rain Water Harvesting System: NIL

o) Others:

1. Slope protection
The slope protection by lawn or any other method using green technology
will be provided at locations, where embankment height is more than 1.00
m and in approaches of Viaducts/Flyover/bridges as per Manual and as
directed by Authority.
2. Utility pipe ducts/Passges
The ducts shall be laid as per IRC-SP-73-2015, Clause 2.15 & as per IRC-SP-
84-2014, Clause 2.16 (with chamber size 900mm by 900 mm) at a suitable
depth as approved by Authority Engineer.
Utility Passages are provided with paver blocks at 200m c/c with DLC
below it. In urban areas.

3. Utilities
Utilities to be identified at site and certified by the Authority Engineer then
shifting may be taken by contractor.
Note: In case of any discrepancy in numbers or locations of any of the project
facilities mentioned in this Schedule C, shall be constructed and
provided in consultation with the Authority Engineer as per site/design
requirement and shall not Constitute as Change of Scope.
