Height: Assuming floor to floor height to be 3m, Total height will be3metres

Hazard group classification: Ordinary hazard group 2 (OH2)

Water storage:
Based on the floor height requiring automatic sprinkler system, OH2-
15 meters has been selected according to the table.The sprinkler tank
design capacity is 105 cubic meters

Estimated tank on the drawing: 15.5 x 5.9 x 3 meters height. Total

tank capacity 275 cibic meters. Therefore can confortably allow 120m3
for automatic sprinklers..

Suction pipe: 200mm diameter

Sprinkler layout: 1 Determination of sprinkler tank location and pump room

2 Sprinkler array arrangement i.e
Area of which can be coverage per OH2 Sprinkler
point is 12 sq meters. Usually, gird lines of 4
meters by 3 meters are used to dtermine the
sprinkler layout. Min area covered should be 9 sq
meters

Pipe sizing: Nominal pipe sizing in millimetres

Hydraulic calculation The size or sizes of the pipe work (including main distribution pipes and
of distribution pipe all risers) between the 16/18 sprinkler points at the extremities of
work systems at the highest level and the installation valves is to be
calculated hydraulically on the basis that with a rate flow of
1000lts/min the aggregate pressure loss due to friction must not
exceed 0.5bar.Reffered 0n table 4122.2 on page 68
