3.1 Establish the correlation between the courses and the POs & PSOs (20)

Programme Outcomes
By the end of this program, the Diploma holder acquires the ability to
1. Demonstrate the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.

2. Demonstrate the ability to apply computer engineering – specific knowledge
to solve core and applied engineering problems. (Discipline knowledge)
3. Demonstrate the ability to design and conduct experiments, interpret and

4. Demonstrate the ability to model a live problem or a project that meets
desired specifications and requirements using appropriate tools.

The courses in the curriculum are such that they satisfy all the objectives and
outcome defined for the program.

PSO1. Apply the acquired technical knowledge in design, drafting, manufacturing,
maintenance and documentation of mechanical components and processes.
PSO2. Associate the learning related to Energy Conversion, Fluid Mechanics,
Strength of materials, Design of machine elements, Thermal & Automobile
engineering to arrive at solutions to real world problems.
PSO3. Manage Mechanical engineering processes by selecting and scheduling
relevant equipment, substrates, quality control techniques, and operational
parameters.

C320.2 Explain the principles & application of welding processes and also know
about the various welding processes like Arc welding, TIG & MIG, Oxy-

C320.4 Describe to understand metal cutting principles,
single point cutting tool and basic operations of lathe machines
C320.5 Elaborate about drilling machine operations and also gain knowledge on
