a) Advantages of ADDIE and ASSURE

From what I’ve read, one of the advantages is that ADDIE is widely accepted model which
people commonly used. It is used by many people because it is proven to be effective for
learning. It is also a foundation for any other learning models. Not only that, the step by step
process is user friendly.

Meanwhile for ASSURE Model, it is more details about learners, methods, media and
materials and evaluation. The one on one relation that exist between students is to analyse
them early which can be seen as early preparation.

b) Disadvantages of ADDIE and ASSURE

Disadvantages from ADDIE framework is that the model is a rigid linear process which
means that it is not very flexible and must be followed in order. Although it is easy to
measure time and cost used in the model, it is actually time-consuming and costly. As it is
inflexible, ADDIE is not able to adapt to changes which will not allow the interactive design.
Moreover, to be able to operate the ADDIE Model, we were needed more than one person.
The model needs many team such as designing team or observers to get involved.

Meanwhile, the disadvantage from ASSURE model is that it does not have a visual
representation or diagram of the model. It is not good as some of the students are able to
get into learning within the help of something they can visualize. However, different from
ADDIE, ASSURE lacks the step of analysis. So, it is limited to what it can be used for. Not
only that, the teachers need to require online technologies like tablets and computers which
may be in limited quantities. This model can be apply to small sum of students but not in a
large sum.

c) If Technology is missing in TPACK acronym?

If Technology(T) is missing from TPACK acronym, it will become harder for educators for
teachers to teach and for students to learn. The learning process still can go on but it will not
fully effective for both students and teachers. Moreover, nowadays, people are already
familiarized themselves with gadgets in every aspect of their life. Although the learning
process can still be carry on, the effectiveness of students’ learning will be plummet as the
traditional methods such as chalk and talk is used.
