FOR OR AGAINST FIRE.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution represents a fundamental change in the way we live, work, and relate
to one another. It is a new chapter in human development, enabled by extraordinary technology
advances commensurate with those of the first, second and third industrial revolutions. Today, it already
changed the things we value and the way we value them. Some relationships, opportunities, and
identities have also changed as it changes the physical and virtual worlds we inhabit and even, in some
cases, our bodies. The Fourth Industrial Revolution brings with it a multitude of advantages and
disadvantages not only for the Businesses, or Society but for the world, including ourselves.

Todays technology is undeniably amazing, it has been a powerful agent for good. We can see how this
affect the way of living especially for students, employees; for us humans, generally. It helped us do
accomplish things easily and conveniently, it has a huge effect on our today’s educational system.
However, while it helps us to accomplish things and to change our lives positively, Fourth Industrial
Revolution also has a huge NEGATIVE impact to our lives.

One basic and very relatable example is how teenagers these days prefer spending their time on social
media, posting pictures, and online chatting or video calls with their friends or sometimes with their
relatives instead of meeting them personally and have a quality time. Even relationships between
children and their parents are affected of technology. In addition, technology made us very dependent
on it which brought us to the point that we can’t imagine doing things without the help of technology.
Moreover, relationship is only a minor issue regarding the negative effect of Fourth Industrial
Revolution, another issue is how it changes employment. Artificial intelligence is unleashing a whole
new level of productivity and augmenting our lives in many ways. As in past industrial revolutions, it can
also be a disruptive force, dislocating people from jobs and surfacing questions about the relationship
between humans and machines. According to Max Tegmark, (Life 3.0) We have to win this race between
the growing power of the technology, and the growing wisdom with which we manage it. We don’t want
to learn from mistakes.

In my opinion, I don’t think that The Fourth Industrial Revolution have the potential to “robotize”
humanity and thus deprive us of our heart and soul. However, will somewhat accomplish things better
and more convenient than we do. Because even though the technology has already completely
developed in the future and robots have already replaced human in doing some of their jobs, these
robots will never be able to accomplish tasks the way we do, they cannot accomplish task with a heart
and passion the way humans do, jobs will be accomplished without hard work and meaning.
