Tierra is actively seeking a Civil Engineering students for an internship program at our Winter Garden

office (Orlando area) to provide geotechnical engineering support to professionals in a team


environment. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of civil/geotechnical engineering
principles and should have the following qualifications:

 Prospective candidates need to be graduating by the spring or fall of 2021.


 An understanding of basic civil engineering principles to apply to the job and career.
 Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
 Ability to assist in field investigations, (e.g., test borings, geotechnical instrumentation, etc.)
classification of soils and soil laboratory testing.
 Have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
 Willing to work a flexible schedule and the ability to work full-time between semesters or during
breaks from school.
 Applicants with prior work experience are preferred especially in the construction/engineering
field is highly preferred.
The ideal candidates will be looking to start their careers at a local and highly competitive geotechnical
firm and should have the immediate ability to submit a resume and list of references.  The intent of our
internship program is centered on finding qualified Geotechnical Engineering student candidates with a
strong desire to potentially join our team after graduation.

engineering firm with a staff of over 194 professionals including principal engineers, staff engineers,
geotechnical and construction inspectors and technicians. The geotechnical engineering department
alone has over 39 geotechnical engineers on staff ranging from 2 to over 30 years of experience with
educations ranging from Bachelor’s Degrees to PhD level engineers.
