This study will benefit the following: For the pupils, the result of this study helped
them in enhancing their skills and abilities in adjusting with peers/classmates who are
below or above their age.
And to the parents, who understand the effects of sending to school to their
children with below or above age required for a certain grade level. To all teachers
especially those who are having multi age pupils because they served as foundation to
the teachers’ role in embracing change in the curriculum and in imparting knowledge to
pupils of different ages. Teachers learned strategies and techniques and hopefully
improved the academic performance of pupils under redshirt practice.
For the Guidance Counselors, they certainly offer suggestions and ideas to
teachers based on their own background on how they apply redshirting practice in their
class. They are the persons who can give pieces of advice and served as associates and
willing participants in the learning and counseling the children. For the School
Administrators, they play a significant role in providing to teachers the pedagogical and
technical aspects as these are essential for teachers in nurturing pupils’ minds in a multi
age. Also being the leaders, they have the authority to involved and encouraged the whole
academic community of what.
For the community, this study provided a great change to the community in
embracing the generation of techniques on the updates of teaching-learning process. This
is also being the basis of their increasing awareness of the significance of an informed
citizen in the communication and exchange of ideas about education of young children.
For curriculum planners, this study opened their minds to support the educational goals
of the Basic Education in the country when planning toward the improvement of the
teaching in kindergarten pupils and in multi -aged classroom, the role of a teachers and
parents in relation to strategies and approaches in implementing redshirting practices.
For the future researchers, the study served as basis and benchmark for further similar
studies undertaken along the line of redshirting and its effect to the learning of young
children.
