Type of Applied research
research
It is a type of research focused on finding mechanisms or
strategies that allow achieving a specific objective.
Phases of the
methodology
1. Reorient the business model for digital transformation:
The digital transformation begins with the redefinition of the
existing process. This could be entire operations of our internal
processes or something very small like digitizing the relationship
with our current clients. You will have to analyze the markets and
the internal data of the company to discover the processes that
can be optimized.

2. Identify the key technologies in the transformation:

There are many recent technologies that are growing rapidly, but
they should not all be implemented in business. The choice of
technology depends on the process to be optimized. The focus
should be on finding the technologies that are right for business
goals and implementing them effectively.

3. Build a talent pool:

To implement innovative technologies, you will need trained and
dynamic people who are willing to shape ideas into a plan.
Without digital natives, it will be difficult to implement innovative
technologies.

Alternatively, you can have an expert partner in the technology

they are trying to deploy to. The benefit of this approach is that
you will save recruiting and training costs, and you can move
from one strategy to another easily and quickly.

4. Define a roadmap:
it is time to define the roadmap for its execution. All
implementation must be done in phases. Each phase of
implementation must end with a milestone, that is, an
achievement that shows that progress is being made in the right
direction.

5. Determine the KPIs:

To measure the plan's effectiveness, you must set up some key
performance indicators (KPIs). These metrics will demonstrate
the effectiveness of the plan and will also guide future decision
making.

Legally constituted companies presented by the working group,

considering as requirement that these companies have a legal
entity with an existing registry in a Chamber of Commerce in
Colombia, bearing in mind the law 905 of 2004 for medium-sized
companies.

INSTRUMENTS

For this methodology, the survey was used as an instrument.

This survey had 20 questions, which were divided into three
important factors to identify the company in its technology sector,
the first factor was recognition of the company, the second factor
was to determine how has been its digital transformation and
finally to identify its degree of digitization.

RESULTS

From the information collected in the research, it is determined

that Colombian medium-sized companies continue to advance,
highlighting a Global Maturity Index of Digital Transformation, for
this reason the companies of the country are aware that
technology becomes the most important driver of business, it is
so clear that the adoption of technology undoubtedly becomes a
factor that not only improves the different moments of the
business, but also It allows them to be more competitive.

Research Methodology Description Diagram one per group (Activity 7)

Exploratory research is a type of research used to study a problem that is not clearly defined, and therefore
carries out a better understanding, but without providing conclusive results. Although exploratory research
is a very flexible technique, compared to other types of study, it implies that the researcher will be willing to
take risks, be patient and receptive.
