Scope of Work: Research and Evaluation Specialist

We are looking for a senior Research and Evaluation Specialist, with demonstrated experience
in managing Research and Evaluation Studies with multiple UN/donor agencies.

The incumbent shall report to Managing Director and Principal Consultant.

Job Description:
The Research and Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for the following tasks;

- He/she will coordinates and oversees programme evaluations for AAN’s clients such as
UNICEF, xxx;
- He/she will often be required to work as the primary evaluator / team leader for
external evaluations taken on by AAN;
- He/she will, in such cases, will be required to lead an evaluation team, coordinate
external evaluations and do all that is required under the contract with the client;
- He/she will also be required to draw lessons from evaluation studies and their
implications for improving AAN’s performance and to disseminate internally the lessons
learnt and for the development of AAN’s knowledge base;
- Furthermore, the He/she will work alongside other team members and will
assists/conduct frequent internal trainings, and other duties as needed;
- He/she is also part of AAN’s internal quality assurance and improvement team.

Prerequisites:
Master degree with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in operational,
economic, social, and technical aspects of developing economies and/or project preparation,
appraisal, management, administration and evaluation in the social sectors (with experience
and leading-edge expertise in the education sector being highly desirable), related policy
dialogue and/or country strategy development for the international donor community /
countries.

The position is for Islamabad office of AAN Associates; and open only for Pakistani nationals.
