Florence Nightingale

Florence Nightingale was a prominent British nurse and statistician known for being the
first theorist in the area of nursing, she was the founder of modern nursing. Florence
Nightingale was born on May 12, 1820 in Florence, Italy, under the shelter of a wealthy
family.

Her father was interested in his daughters having the best education, the young women
were instructors in history, literature, languages and mathematics. She did not share the
same tastes as the other girls her age, but rather that she liked.

Florence Nightingale collaborated in the Crimean War as a nurse, taking her medical team
of nurses, her care was personalized and dedicated since at night she walked through the
corridors with a flashlight to provide calm and light to patients

Contributions

Apart from participating in the Crimean War, it managed to create a reform to improve
medical treatment, it was also a pioneer in the representation of graphics of its research
improving the graphic circula.

He also promoted the family movement in England, writing thousands of articles on the
role of women in society.
