We welcome submissions of nonfiction book proposals in areas suited to the needs of


today’s business professional, including: Leadership and Management; Communication
and Presentation; Marketing and Sales; Entrepreneurship and Small Business; Process
Management, Operations, and Six Sigma; Real Estate; Coaching and Consulting;
Careers; Economics, Finance, and Investing; and the Business of Healthcare/Healthcare
Management.

Proposal submission guidelines:

We recommend that you first browse our Business titles on www.mhprofessional.com to


get a sense of whether your project is suitable for our list. We request you format your
proposal to Microsoft Word 12 point Times Roman type and include the following
components:

 Concise summary of the book’s unique positioning in the marketplace and overall
vision
 Explanation of market need for the book: statistics, demographics
 Definition of who the customer is (reader/target audience)
 Author biography, credentials, academic affiliations, and media platform,
including all social media (followers on Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
 Sales opportunities: speaking engagements and events, potential corporate and
organizational sales, global outreach
 Possible contributors for endorsements and foreword
 Table of contents
 Chapter summaries
 Proposed specifications: word count, art (tables, graphs, charts, illustrations),
proposed manuscript completion date, special interior features
 Competitive analysis: title, author, publisher, year published, and price of
competitive books and a brief statement on why yours would appeal to the same
audience
