PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)
The College of Education is dedicated to produce Education graduates who, within a few years of graduation, are expected to:
I. Process their students’ varying concepts of teaching in the light of their personal experiences or observations.
II. Develop and appreciate their students’ understanding of the mechanics of instruction reflecting principles of teaching.
III. Implement to their students’ alternative modes of delivery.
IV. Implement effective classroom management techniques.
(Note: Program Educational Objectives (PEO) are derived from CMO 52, series of 2007)
a. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the concepts of Campus Journalism and to distinguish the different parts of a campus paper.
b. Writing skills related to appropriate selection of Campus Journalism objective to write news articles correctly using the inverted pyramid structure.
c. Awareness of their grammatical accuracy and to avoid vague sentence construction.
d. Demonstrate mastery on how to make or write news on ongoing campus activities through collaborating with other students.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course deals with the principles observed in writing various journalistic articles and developmental writings (news, editorials, columns, features, and sports) and other
phases of publishing a campus paper such as copy reading, proof reading, lay outing, photo journalism and editorial cartooning.
A graduate of Bachelor in Secondary Education course must achieve the following after finishing the subject:
VALUE AIMS:
This course aims to increase the awareness of the students on how to validate information and learn about teamwork and volunteerism.
Students:
1. All students must come on time and must be in their complete uniform
during class hours.
2. Strictly NO littering inside the class and no eating while class is going
on.
3. All students must conduct themselves with discipline throughout the
entire class.
4. Shouting or howling is strictly prohibited as it would disturb other
classes in adjacent classrooms or buildings.
