NOTICE OF RACE
1. RULES
1.1. The race will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017-2020.
1.2. Competitors are participating under “RRS Rule 4 DECISION TO RACE.
1.3. The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is theirs alone.

2. ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY

2.1. The classes to race are:
 PHRF with SPINNAKER (current SE PHRF Florida certificate required)
 JAM - JIB / GENOA & MAIN
 “GUNKHOLE” CRUISING MONOHULL (don’t usually race - can run engine to finish)
2.2. Registration:
 ClubSpot- Pay online credit card or contact office@pbsail.org to register.

REGISTRATION CLOSES: Nov 6 at 1830

3. FEES
3.1. Registration fee $55 paid by/on Nov 6th – includes 1 meal ticket and 1 drink ticket.
 Dinner is a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Chicken Sandwich, or Veggie Burger with sides.
3.2. Additional meals - $15 paid by Nov 6th (purchase at event – subject to availability). Meals must be
purchased through PBSC office (or at bar on Nov 10th). For meals requested on Sat Nov 9th – please
contact Regatta Chair Quincy Bruckerhoff (802)683-9064.

4. SCHEDULE
4.1. Competitor’s meeting 1900 Friday November 6 at PBSC. Sailing Instructions will be available at 1830.
There will be an option for a Zoom link if needed. Please contact office@pbsail.org if you would prefer
Zoom.
4.2. Representation at the Competitor’s Meeting is mandatory by each entrant.
4.3. Sunday race - First warning at 1055.
5. VENUE
This is a coastal offshore race on the Atlantic Ocean, south and north of the Lake Worth Inlet. The course
length will be determined by the weather conditions.

6. COURSE
 A course length of approximately 2 to 4 hours will be set.
 Course details, approximate locations of south mark and north mark will be in the Sailing
Instructions available at the Competitor’s Meeting

7. SCORING
Corrected times will be calculated according to PHRF Time on Distance calculations. Finish time limit is 1600.

8. Awards
Trophies will be awarded based on the numbers of entries received by Nov. 6 in each class. 1

class trophy: 1-4 entries, 2 trophies: 5-8 entries, 3 trophies: 9-12 entries, etc.
