 Roads improvements and paving during Covid-19
pandemic

In this diary I will talk about a positive things that happened during
the pandemic of covid-19 , which is taking advantages of the curfew
and lockdown to repair and maintenance roads, paving the roads, and
.work on the uncomplete projects
Dr. Rana Alfares , the minister of public works mentioned that this
period was useful for them to accomplish many works as there is no
.traffic obstruct them, they work along 24 hours during those days
Also, Engineer Khaled Alosaimi , the minister of highway department
at public Authority for roads and transportation mentioned that the
amount of work was tripled what is was before , the production
capacity at one project before was between 15 to 20 cars of asphalt
per day , while it is from 45 to 60 cars at the curfew period, in total
.there was 150 to 180 cars of asphalt were paved on highway
: I will list some of the projects that accomplished during that period
- Asphalt paving for 8 highways ( 192 km from January till June
2020 ) & 48 inside areas.
- More than 23 new project to improve the road network
- Accomplish the improvement of the first ring road
- Asphalt paving at Saad al-Abdullah (35,904 m2 paved area )

- Accomplish the road at bridge of the western part of the 5th road
ring ( Jassem mohammad alkhrafi road )

- Maintenance of King Fahad road.

- Maintenance and improvement of the 6th ring road

- 800 ton were paved at 6.5 road.

This great work was a result of a hard work and efforts of the
engineers and workers at the ministry of the public work. All
thanks to them.
