1. How many of the activities/strategies are authentic?

Among the eleven activities/strategies there are 6 that is authentic, here are the following; Demonstration
teaching , Submitting a report on observations animals in a field trip, Motor Lab presentation, Conducting
issue awareness campaign, Constructing Floor, and Creating Fitnessgram Profile Summary.

2. Why did you consider these activities/strategies authentic?

I considered those 6 activities as an authentic because every task applies the higher cognitive skills which
students re able to analyse and synthesize and applied and demonstrate their knowledge acquired that help
students develop their proficiency.

3. How many of the activities/strategies are Traditional?

There are traditional 5 activities/strategies and here are the following; Identifying parts of a microscope in
a worksheet, Writing different algebraic symbols, Requiring memorization of history of facts,
Providing the answers to a fill-in the blanks assignments and Administering a true-false test.

4. Why did you consider these activities/strategies Traditional?

I considered the following activities/strategies as traditional because all of those given task is through paper
and pencil which help them only to recall and comprehend but thus not may serve if they can apply those
knowledge.

5. What is the difference between an authentic activity/strategy and a traditional activity/strategy?

In the authentic activity/strategy students are able to reason and analyze, synthesize, and apply
knowledge acquired and more into demonstrate understanding by performing or applying what they have
learn to a more complex task. On the other hand, in traditional activity/ strategy students are only able to
recall/recognize and comprehend content, but does not reveal the students’ true progress of what they
can do with the knowledge they acquired because they only typically given several choices and ask to
select the right answer.
