1-Pronunciation of final –ed :

Final ‘-ed’ is pronounced /id/, /t / or /d/ according to the following rules :

/id/ /t/
If the base verb ends in / t If the base verb ends in
/ or /d/. one of these sounds
(voiceless consonants) :
/k/,/p/, /f/, /ʃ /,
/ʈʃ /, /s/ or /θ/.
/d/
If the base ends in any other
voiced consonant sound
(/d/,/b/,l/,/m/,/n/,/z/,/ð/,/g/
,/ŋ/,/r/,/v/,/dʒ/ /ʒ/ ) or a
vowel sound.

2- Pronunciation of final s :

Final ‘- s’ is pronounced /iz/, /s / or /z/ according to the following rules :

/iz/ /s/ /z/
