Part 1: A big part of being successful now is knowing where you want to be in the future. As you plan for
your future this month list the 5 colleges you would like to attend below and why. If you do not plan on
attending a 4 year institution you can list technical colleges or training you plan on completing.

I am very interested in staying in Georgia. A couple colleges I want to go to consist of Georgia State
University, University of Georgia, University of West Georgia, Kennesaw State University and Spelman
College. I am interested in going to these colleges because they are in state and because I want to
pursue a career in medicine, so I am looking to major in Pre-Med or Biology.

Part 2: Of the five colleges listed select one as your top choice. Write a one paragraph summary of what
this college has to offer you. Include information such as campus organizations or activities you are
interested in, your intended major and how this college will help you achieve your professional goals.

My top choice is Georgia State University. It is in state so I will have a chance to have the HOPE
Scholarship, it has a big campus which is something I was interested in because that means a larger
community of people who could possibly be interested in the same things I am interested in. It does
have a College for Arts and Sciences specifically for my major so that would be my number one focus
and it has a separate college for business which is what I am interested in minoring in. I am also looking
for a good dance team and I know Georgia state has a pretty good one.

Part 3: How do you believe your time in Work Based Learning will help to better prepare you for your
future college and career plans?

Since I am working at a medical office, I am learning the aspects of medicine and business together. My
parents run the business, so I am taught everything about patient care and medicine along with
everything having to do with owning and running a business.
