Regarding registration of a partnership firm

To get the fruits of a partnership [firm] some legal proceedings and approval of the government
is necessary. The registration of a partnership firm is undertaken by Office of the Registrar of
Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) this office is under the supervision of the Ministry
of Commerce.

Here is how a partnership firm can be created in Bangladesh


1. Before taking the first step the name of the firm must be decided then it must be checked at
the following link: http://app.roc.gov.bd:7781/psp/nc_search?p_user_id=if it is found clear to
go [not used/registered by other] then an account must be and a record must be ken on the
ground that the name is cleared.
2. After that, an amount has to be deposited to bank according to their direction to reserve that
name.
3. Then with the confirmation of the name a Deed of Partnership needs to be created by
specifying the particulars of business.
4. The Deed of a partnership must be written on the non-judicial stamp valued 2000 taka.
5. The Deed must be Notarized from a Notary Public (Advocate)
6. Then a payment of an amount must be done to RJSC to register the partnership firm
7. After paying that, following documents must be submitted
o Copy of the Deed of Agreement
o NID of Partners
o Photos of Partners
o Name Clarence document
o Payment documents for registration
o Any other document that is required for business [depends on the type of business]

Costs & Time for Registration


Costs always vary on various circumstances but it is approximately-
1. Name Clearance fee – 100 – 500 taka
2. Deed of Partnership by an expert advocate – 10,000 [around] taka
3. Non Judicial stamp – 2500 – 3000 taka
4. Notary fee – 2000 – 5000 taka
5. Transport and others – 1000+
In total it would be better to budget at list 16,000 taka. Generally, it will take around 7 (seven)
days to provide a digital certificate as proof of registration.
