CRAFT PROJECT

Pumpkin Math is a perfect activity for fall afternoons when your

students need a change of pace! The packet includes ten
pages of addition and subtraction facts, 0-9, which can be
done over several days. The pages can be mixed and matched
to differentiate according to your students’ needs—some may
work on only facts 0-5, while others try mixed addition and
subtraction. Large and small blank templates are also included
if you want to skip the math and do only the craft.

Materials needed:
• Copies of the template
• Orange colored paper (Astrobrights work great!)
• Green or brown pipe cleaners
• Glue or stapler
• Scissors

To avoid the mess of glue, the pages can be

stapled together instead. Before folding pumpkin
shapes, lay them flat back to back, then staple
down the middle with the stem in the middle. Then
fold the whole bunch down the middle and feather
out the pages to create the 3D pumpkin shape.

together. When you reach the
last shape you can add a stem
to complete the pumpkin.
