BENDING A 90-DEGREE STUB USING A HEATER GUN

Instruction: When you are ready to perform this task, ask your teacher to observe the processand to rate
your performance using the specified criteria. 

Equipment and Materials 

Heater gun 

Pipe cutter 

Hack saw 

2 pcs 24 inches long PVC Pipe (Orange) 

Tape 

Marking pencil 

Procedure: 

1. Prepare all the necessary tools, equipment and materials needed. 

2. Wear appropriate PPE’s such as gloves and eye glasses 
3. Measure atleast 24 inches long at the PVC pipe using the pull push rule and markedit using the pencil
or marking pen. 
4. After measuring and marked the actual length, get the hack saw or pipe cutter andslowlycut the
PVC always observed precautionary measures. 
5. Get a pencil or marking pen to mark the center of the PVC being cut, once youalreadyfind the
center of the pvc and mark in circular from the the center measure another 2.5to3 inches long
respectively on the both sides. 
6. The next step is plug the heater gun and place it downward the noozle it pointing upward7. From the
center of the pvc slowly heated the pvc with the given mark.
8. If the pvc is already soft slowly bend it to the given angle 90 degrees
9. Geat a damp cloth to hasten the cooling temoerature of the fittings
10. Check the angle of the pvc using an improvised wooden box
11. Clean the surroundings after you are done see to it the heater gun is unplug.
