I agree with you that claims are credible if it met our own observation and background
knowledge. On the other hand, every individual has personal interests and biases which may
affect our judgment. I would like add the concept of validity which makes claim credible.
Interested and disinterested parties are good inclusion in your post to assess claim credibility.
The other criteria may include reputation, position, language style, and education can build
credibility of claims.

I support your understand because believe and trust develop credibility of claims but it must have
evidence and proven record to make a reliable source of information. Media new may be
conflicting with our observations and cannot be considered as credible source of claim.
However, the role of experts cannot be neglected that presents their knowledge and facts in
literature review and we should use them to strengthen credibility claims in our business
perspectives.
