Module 7: Personal Health Portfolio - Avoiding Risk from Harmful Habits

My goal was to reduce my weight by regular exercising. By using behavioral change application,
I had gained remarkable success. My weight was 145lbs before the use of the application and
now my weight had been reduced to 130lbs which is a great success of my efforts that I am
consistently doing exercising and yoga practice with my health behavior change application.
There are some issues pertained while achieving behavior change goal that I am addicted to fast
food and sometimes I did not eat which means I not taking energy or nutrition’s and it becomes
impulsive exercise and it is not good for my health. Moreover, there is an issue with an
application that does not alarm me if I did not take exercise at that time. It created difficulties to
manage my exercise time alternatively [ CITATION Emm19 \l 1033 ].
My behavior of eating and exercising has been changed and I don’t want to return my previous
behavior. Even If I turn to my previous behavioral pattern, I will warn myself that reduce weight
goals cannot be obtained or every effort would be spoiled or even I would realize that back to
previous pattern may worsen my healthy lifestyle [ CITATION Ane16 \l 1033 ]. This restriction can
help me to limit to turn into previous behavior patterns.
I will imagine being inside of myself and looking at the ideal results. I would create a visual
picture to affirm that I am attaining my goals. I will make a schedule and regularly check my
weight to see expected results which satisfy me to do more in the next day. Lastly, I will feed my
mind with loving and happy memories to get rid of anxieties in my life.
I will use positive reaffirmation regarding my goal. The positive affirmation will be associated
with my married life, career progression, and a good job [ CITATION Don20 \l 1033 ](p.250). Thus,
having such affirmation can realize that I am doing better with healthy lifestyle and my goals.
Yes, my goal is still achievable if I am continuing my regular exercising and yoga activities.
