Hi everyone! Grace here, I am a co-founder, owner and creator of Filipino Virtual Assistance and
today in this video we have a special guest and she's no other than the online bookkeeping
trainer of the Filipino Virtual Assistance and she will be discussing the qualities of a good
online bookkeeper.

Hi everyone today we will identify the qualities of a good bookkeeper, so if you want to be a
bookkeeper what are the qualities that you should possess?

So one-- Being Organized. Bookkeeping involves carrying out repetitive and routine tasks and
need to complete those jobs in a timely fashion,often with deadlines associated with them.As a
bookkeeper you need to be organized and have a good time management skills you also need
to be able to prioritize the important files and identify two such that you need to do first often
using checklist helps you to ensure that you complete tasks and allows you to keep abreast of
progress throughout the month.

Second, Possessing Good Communication Skills.As a bookkeeper you be expected to discuss

the finances with owner manager of the business or your client itself.They will expect the basic
financial reports such as profit and loss & balance sheet and cash flow.For example, most of
the time it is the role of the bookkeeper also to follow up and at standing invoices from your
customers so it is really important that you possess a good communication skills on how to
communicate to them politely and properly.

Number three, Having Qualifications.As a bookkeeper you can be qualified by experience or by

studying the course itself ok so either way you should be able to demonstrate that you are
skilled at double entry bookkeeping. It is critical to be able to correct the mistakes that are
made, if something is incorrectly posted on to a computer or accounting software.
So next, Maintaining a sound knowledge of a well-known accounting software package. Most
bookkeeping systems are now held on a computer,which means that the bookkeeper must be
able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of current accounting software packages.Example of
this accounting packages we have a quickbooks online,xero,freshbooks,wave accounting so
these are examples only and myob case or account tried edge.

Ok next--Possessing honesty and trustworthiness. A bookkeeper is opened going to receive

some important and often confidential information such as bank statements and payroll records
,as a bookkeeper you are in a position of trust so trust will be given to you and you're not
expected to abuse it .

Second to the last-- Preparedness to update skills. As a bookkeeper you need to keep your
finger on the pulse with current financial regulations,as well as staying up to date with the
industry that you're working with so it means there will be update of the skills and that is really
needed in this type of a job that you want to be in.

And the last one is-- Having a confident personality. As a bookkeeper you are responsible for
the day-to-day finances of the business and as such the owner or the manager of the business
will expect to be working with someone who is confident of their own abilities and who can
happily discuss the reports produced from the accounting package.
