Instructions

Write a demand letter on behalf of your client, Shiela Denorte, who has the following
personal circumstances:

1. Shiela Denorte is 29 years old. She lost her job as a customer service
representative in June 2020 since the company she works for has experienced
staggering losses due to the ongoing pandemic.

2. Shiela has a daughter out of wedlock with Leo de los Reyes. She met Leo
through a common friend sometime in 2011. After dating for a couple of months,
Shiela got pregnant.

3. Shiela gave birth to Willow Denorte last 13 February 2012. Shiela and Leo lived
together in a rented home from the time their baby was born up until mid-2015.

4. Since living separately from each other, Shiela has not been able to receive any
financial support from Leo relative to the living expenses of Willow.

5. Shiela has avoided confronting Leo for support through their years of factual
separation because her employment has given her the means to raise her
daughter independently.

6. But after losing her job recently, Shiela worries about her economic sustainability.
She approaches you for legal counsel. Ultimately, she wants to seek child
support from Leo.

7. After verifying, it has been found out that Leo works for the Bank of the Philippine
Islands in Ayala-FGU, Cebu Business Park. Shiela does not know where Leo
currently resides.
