Subject : Tourism Week celebrations 20​th to 27​th September, 2011 - Request for
Sponsorship

Dear Sir/Madam,

Every year to commemorate the World Tourism Day Celebrations on 27​th September,
our Institute has been organizing tourism activities like, Yearly National Tourism Quiz
events, International Conference on Tourism, Tourism Workshops, Seminars and
Environment Awareness programs. Organizing such events fosters a bond with the tourism
community and provides exposure to the students towards tourism academics, event
management and creates consciousness towards the development of the tourism industry.

This year too, to celebrate the World Tourism Week, we with the collaboration of
Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Govt. of H.P. are organizing certain activities.

This year we are planning the following events :

1. Himachal Tourism Quiz​: This quiz will be held at some district head quarters, and
teams will be from all colleges with in that district. This event will be on 27nd of
September 2011.
2. Himachal Tourism Quiz Champion​: Winners of Himachal Tourism Quiz will be
invited to participate in this event on 27​th​ of September at Shimla.
3. Athithi Samman : On 25​th of September we will welcome tourists with garlands at
Shimla railway Station, and will brief them about tourist places at Shimla and recently
announced World Heritage Railway Line. They will also be invited to join ​Simla
Heritage Walk
4. Simla Heritage Walk​: On 25​th of September we will organise a heritage walk for the
tourists at Shimla starting from Scandal Point, Ridge, Mall, Kalibari, Chaura Maidan,
and Museum till Viceregal Lodge.
5. 14th National Tourism Quiz: ​This is our annual event in which teams of about 20
different National Universities will participate.
6. Workshops on Community Participation: The workshops will be conducted in few
places to aware the locals about tourism and the pamphlets containing do’s and don’ts
 of tourism will be distributed to the tourists and locals.
7. Tree Plantation: A tree plantation / environmental awareness program will be
organized at which The Forest minister, will be the Chief Guest.

You are requested to sponsor either of the above event / valedictory ceremony in
the form of Cash in the shape of Bank Draft, in favour of Event Coordinator, payable at
Shimla. Your banners will be displayed in the event for which you would sponsor as well
as in the Valedictory function

Your cooperation can help us organize our activities and also act as a promotional
opportunity for your enterprise/organization. Your support will enable us to organise the
celebrations of World Tourism Week / Day, successfully.

questions on Himachal. This event will take place on 27​th of September 2008. We will
invite winner couple/ tourists to our main valedictory function for Dinner.
