Learning Outcome

 Co-operation between businesses in India and the rest of the world has increased
dramatically in recent years. Many differences still exist however, and these can be
disorienting for Indian entrepreneurs looking to expand a business.
 Indian businesses tend to be quite hierarchical. Instructions are delegated down the chain
of command, with few opportunities to relay ideas or criticisms up the chain by lower-
ranking employees. In Europe - and particularly in start-ups who value creative freedom.
 India should focus on developing their human-development. The countries like China
now is an emerging market in the world economy because they contributed a large part of
their expenditure in development of Human Development, which made their economies
flourish and helped them become word leaders and modifiers. The development in human
development poised the society perfectly. The development of a vast pool of human
capital primed the economy for economic reforms and, therefore, allowed the country to
maximise its gains form it .
 India should focus more on labour-intensive industries on its pool of cheap labour, just
like these developed nations did to boost up their economy. Industries like textile, light
engineering and electronics should receive higher investment. India should introduce
special economic zones (SEZs) which will push manufacturing growth and help in setting
up of export-oriented industries.
 As India has never emphasised on labour-intensive manufacturing industries, and focused
all its resources more on service sectors, the sector never picked up.
 India should focus on health and education as long term strategy and market-oriented
policies in short-term market.
