Introduction:

The course will be discussing about the enablers, drivers and process – based approach to Supply
Chain Management (SCM). It will present a conceptual framework for understanding and
analyzing Supply Chains. The Strategic and Operational aspects will be examined. We will also
look at the tools and techniques used in the field of supply chain management, so as to equip the
students with the ability to apply them to real world Supply Chains.

Objective:

 Understand the Concept of SCM


 Strategic & Operational processes in SCM, and the Drivers of SCM.
 Global supply chain structure and industry implications of global supply chains
 Various tools & techniques such as Network Design, inventory Systems, and the role of
IT in enabling supply chains etc.
 Understand the role of sustainability in supply chain
