Fairytale Adaptation Assignment

TASK: For this assignment, you will be adapting (changing, revising, modifying) a fairytale of your
choice (see the list of options below). Specifically, you will be adapting your
fairytale so that it is a more modernized and current version of the story. Your fairytale MUST include the
following elements:
 Your Story must begin with “Once upon a time…” or “Long, long ago...”
 There must be a major problem that is solved by the end of the story.
 A character that is evil (i.e., the bad guy).
 At least one animal with human characteristics.
 Magic/spells, mythical creatures, talking objects, castles or forests, fairies, and/or
royalty
 The setting of your story must be in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In addition to the fairytale elements above, you will also follow the guidelines below in order to produce a final
copy of your fairytale:
 Your fairytale should be typed in 12-point font size and Times New Roman or Arial font style.
 Your fairytale MUST have a title

Snow white’s family lived
happily , but suddenly one day
strategy strikes, her mother
discovers her husband is cheating
and snow white is missing. Her
mother is extremely hostile and
kills her husband with mistress to
avenge snow white.
After a traumatic past, her mother
met the king and become queen.
The queen is always haunted by
beauty and kills before anyone
more beautiful than her. At that
time, snow white appeared with a
beauty that made everyone fall in
love and unfortunately to queen
ears. The queen took action to kill
her daughter.
The queen realizes she killed snow
white, and wishes to change her
life for snow white, but cannot if
the queen wants to save snow

falls in love with her.The curse
was dissolved, snow white

husband no longer love her as before. Her husband became more and more cold and betrayed Lily. Not only
that, but he also paired up with another woman. Lily was in pain, extremely hurt. But she still tried to accept
it because she wanted to be good for her children’s future. As time passed, Lily gave birth to a girl who gave
her a pure, sweet beauty like an angel. Because of the pure beauty like a diamond. Lily named her Diamond.
Suddenly one day, disaster stuck. Diamond was missing. Lily thought that her husband and mistress killed
Diamond. Lily was in excruciating pain, and her heart felt like it was being tormented into a hundred pieces.
Lily went mad, lost in hatred. Lily has been trying to keep on living, trying to endure for so many years. All
because of Diamond only. It can be said to Lily , Diamond is the purpose for her to survive and try hard. But
now, her hope for life was stolen. How could Lily endure it? How can she ignore it? Lily with a warm heart in
the past, has now turned into a witch with a heart of heartless stone. In her madness, she turned to her
husband and mistress to kill them for revenge. After taking her revenge, she calmed down, running into the
forest in fear. Because running for so long, extremely tired. Lily fainted in the grass of another kingdom. At
that moment, King passed. The King was immediately fascinated by her. The King brought Lily to the castle.
For someone who cared for her. Because she lived under the joy of being a servant, Lily soon became prettier
than anyone else. She became the Queen of the King. Since then, Lily has been obsessed with beauty. She is
afraid it will be again, if she got bad King won’t love her again, and she will once again lose someone she
loves. But that was more than enough for Lily. Lily did everything to made herself the most beautiful in the
world. If so, she will not be afraid of losing someone she loves anymore.

As for Diamond that year , she was not actually killed, but in one play, she strayed into the forest. The seven
dwarves found Diamond and raised her until now. And gave her a new named Snow White. The seven
dwarves were like her father, taught her good things. Snow White soon regarded them as her biological
family. On Snow White’s 18th birthday. The seven dwarves planned to give Snow White an epic party. They
invited all the people in the forest to attend, equipped with bright lights, did everything best for Snow White.
She was very excited because the first time she had a grand birthday party like this. One of the seven dwarves
gave her a dress like a crystal, so she could dress for the party. Everyone had attend. Snow White came out
like a sparkling and flexible diamond that made everyone fall in love with the beauty of Snow White. Rumors
have been heard. Unfortunately to the ears of the Queen. Fear once again came to the Queen. The Queen was
afraid the King would know and no longer love the Queen, but would marry Snow White. So, the Queen
planned to assassinate Snow White. The Queen opened the maiden selection festival. All the maids in the
palace were very excited about this, included Snow White. She really wanted to be able to enter the palace
once, so she went to challenge herself. Snow White wanted to go alone, did not want to have to rely on the
seven dwarves. She went to the city by herself and attended that festival. With her beautiful appearance,
Snow White has always won every challenge during the festival and then she was chosen. She was delighted
and happy that she chosen. And wanted to go home to report to the seven dwarves. But unfortunately, the
Queen planned to have the Queen’s treasure go into Snow White’s room. Then falsely accused Snow White
of theft and sentenced her to hang. At that time, she tried to scream to explain that she was injustice. The
friends who saw her just started at her, unable to speak. Snow White was helpless, crying in fear. When she
was executed , but luckily for her. She was a good girl who was always ready to help people. So, there was a
death row inmate who died in place of Snow White. But that chance Snow White hurriedly escaped back to
the forest home of the seven dwarves. In the evening, the Queen went to inspect the body of Snow White.
Then, discovered, was deceived. This time the Queen decided to handle it herself. The Queen found a famous
witch in the kingdom and asked the witch to turn the Queen into one of the 7 dwarves. After acquiring the

corpse? So heartbreaking she committed suicide. After the dwarf returned to hear the animals in the forest
told the whole story. So they understood it all, with great regret. The seven dwarves brought her to a beautiful
land. Where she was a child and entered their life. A miraculous miracle happened. The Queen’s blood
dripping drop by drop on Snow White body never faded. On the contrary, it also kept Snow White body
