RBI- Notification to scheduled Commercial Banks and Payments Banks regarding need for
discipline in opening of Current Accounts by Banks.
Banks may ensure compliance with the instructions contained in Para 4 of the circular
DOR.No.BP.BC/7/21.04.048/2020-21 dated August 6, 2020 by December 15, 2020 till some
clarifications received by RBI on operational issues regarding maintenance of current
accounts are clarified.
