conditionals
conditionals
They describe the result of something that might happen (in the present or future) or might
have happened but didn't (in the past) . They are made using different English verb tenses.

TYPES
zero
conditionals

If I drink coffee at night, I don’t sleep.

If She had a lot money, She would buy a new house.


conditionals

I don’t sleep if I drink coffee.

She would buy a new house if She had a lot of money.


Zero conditional
It is used to talk things that are always true,present real, actual situations, like
a scientific fact. The condition always has the same result.

If + simple present, simple present


if CONDITION , RESULT

If you stand in the rain, you get wet

If Elsa mixes yellow and blue, she gets green


Zero conditional

RESULT if CONDITION

you go to the bed early if you are tired

The ice melts if you leave it in the sun
