Description

Free Download The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry Ebook. ECPA BESTSELLER • A compelling emotional and spiritual
case against hurry and in favor of a slower, simpler way of life

“As someone all too familiar with ‘hurry sickness,’ I desperately needed this book.”—Scott Harrison, New York
Times best-selling author of Thirst

“Who am I becoming?”

That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly,
things weren’t pretty. So he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words:

“Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life.”

It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was—and continues to be—the answer he needs. Too often we treat the
symptoms of toxicity in our modern world instead of trying to pinpoint the cause. A growing number of voices are
pointing at hurry, or busyness, as a root of much evil.

Within the pages of this book, you’ll nd a fascinating roadmap to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in
the chaos of the modern world.

Very helpful!

I really enjoyed John Mark’s teaching (both in this book and through sermons) on this topic! He does a great job
referencing many sources and putting them together in a way that keeps me engaged.

This is a book that everyone needs to read. If you don’t want to read something to grow which this book is good for... this

Awakened my soul

By Gabrielle Machado

I’m torn between wanting to lend this book to everyone I know, and wanting to keep it forever so I can read it again and
again to let these life-altering and desperately needed words truly soak in to my being. I feel like I’ve been asleep, and my
spirit knew what I needed, but this book allowed me to listen to what I was too busy to hear from the Holy Spirt. Reading
John Mark’s words feels just like listening to one of his sermons—a gentle-yet-powerful conversation from a friend
seeking Jesus and full of wisdom. I feel convicted and encouraged to begin putting these four practices to play in my life
to be able to encounter God in the slow and quiet, and nd myself there as well. Thank you, John Mark! Your book is a gift.

exactly what I needed.

I feel like the busiest man alive yet the least important After rushing to work in the AM, rushing to mandatory meetings
after, rushing to my girlfriend to spend time with her and rushing home so I can get enough sleep to rush to work. This
book has taught me a lot and is helping me as I learn to slow down. I have even recommended this book to those who
don’t follow Jesus. People in general want to know how to live in the present this book helps. I’m thankful for John Mark
Comer being vulnerable and honest. READ READ READ
