Product Description
The Cambium Networks Services (CNS) Server is a network management application provided by Cambium
Networks to manage ePMP devices.
CNS Server 1.2 Hotfix 1 corrects an issue found that prevents Cambium Networks Device (CND) files from
importing and compiling properly. Without this hotfix, the CNS Server’s configuration features will no longer function
properly after any CND file is applied.
The hotfix file will only work with CNS Server version 1.2. It is not compatible or applicable to older versions of the
CNS Server.
Important: This hotfix must be applied prior to installing any CND files.

Obtaining the Software

The CNS Server 1.2 Hotfix 1 file can be obtained from https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/cnss.

Installation
Prior to installing the hotfix, backup the CNS Server following the procedures in the User Manual.
To install the hotfix, please execute the following steps as either root (Linux) or Administrator (Windows):

1. Download the hotfix file from the link mentioned in the “Obtaining the Software” section above.
2. Stop the CNS Server by opening a command prompt and entering the following commands:
a. For Windows: sc stop cnsserver
b. For Linux: service cnsserver stop
3. Copy the hot fix file to the CNS Server Installation folder (defaults are C:\Program Files\cnsserver for
Windows, /opt/cnsserver for Linux).
4. Extract the contents of the file directly (extract here or similar)
5. Start the CNS Server by opening a command prompt and entering the following commands:
a. For Windows: sc start cnsserver
b. For Linux: service cnsserver start

Post Installation
To validate that the hot fix was installed properly confirm that the CNS Server version now reads 1.2.2979.2. Also
verify that configuration operations are performing correctly both before and after new CND files have been
imported.
