The I Believe
1 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary, Glory be …
Introduction:
Introduction: Today the Church celebrates the Feast of All Saints. The Holy
Spirit moved the Church to establish this feast for a double purpose: a) to praise
God for having completed his salvation in so many of our Christian
brothers/sisters throughout the world. b) to encourage those still living on earth
to persevere faithful to Christ in spite of human weakness, in spite of temptation
and persecution.

Today we shall contemplate on the Glorious Mysteries.

1. The Resurrection – Jesus rises from the dead three days after his
crucifixion.
Word of God: The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of
sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again" (Luke
24:6-7).
Christians are truly God’s children. We already share God’s life, the life
of the Spirit; We were cleansed of our sins at baptism, and though still we
are subject to temptation and to sin, the Spirit goes on in his work of
rendering them more and more similar to Christ. We possess the same
life, the same Spirit that Jesus himself possesses; the Spirit is continually
at work to make us holy. All we have to do is not to prevent his work to
make us holy. We are saints in the making. Let us pray for grace to be
holy.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary, Glory be …

Chorus:
Be with us, Mary, along the way. Guide every step we take.
Lead us to Jesus, your loving Son.
Come with us, Mary, come.

2. The Ascension – Forty days after rising from the dead, Christ ascends
into heaven.

Word of God: “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here
looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into
heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into
heaven (Acts 1:11).

We are destined to be with God for ever and to be like him. Only at our
death will the work of the Spirit in us be completed; though impossible
for us to imagine what our life in god will be after death, one thing is
sure: we shall resemble him as closely as the image in a mirror resembles
the person in front of him. But we ought to keep one point in mind:
though most of the work in transforming us is done by the Spirit, the task
of becoming saints will never be completed in us unless we put into
practice the advice of John: “Surely, everyone who entertains this hope
(to be with God and to become like him), must purify himself, must try to
be as pure as Christ.” (1Jn. 3:3)
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary, Glory be …
Chorus:
Be with us, Mary, along the way. Guide every step we take.
Lead us to Jesus, your loving Son.
Come with us, Mary, come.

3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit descends on Mary and
the Apostles
Word of God: "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and
they began to speak with divers’ tongues, according as the Holy
Ghost gave them to speak" (Acts 2:4).
Suffering, persecution, difficulties should spur us on to greater
faithfulness, not discourage us. Shedding one’s own blood for Christ
amounts to a second baptism which cleanses a person from all sin; that is
what the whiteness of their tunics represents. Suffering for Christ in life
accomplishes something similar. Once in heaven, we shall rejoice at what
we had to suffer in this world to remain faithful to Christ.

1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary, Glory be …

Chorus:
Be with us, Mary, along the way. Guide every step we take.
Lead us to Jesus, your loving Son.
Come with us, Mary, come.

4. The Assumption – At the end of her life, Mary is taken body and soul
into heaven.

Word of God: "And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman

clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet . . . " (Revelation
12:1).
At the end of her earthly life, the Mother of God was received, body and
soul, into Heaven. The fruit most commonly associated with the mystery
of the Assumption is the grace of a happy death.
This great reward ready for us in heaven ought to encourage us to be
faithful to Christ. “The One who sits on the throne will spread his tent
over them” (Rev. 7:15). We shall live in God’s tent, in God’s house,
never to leave it again; to be at home with God will ensure our happiness
for ever.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary, Glory be …
Chorus:
Be with us, Mary, along the way. Guide every step we take.
Lead us to Jesus, your loving Son.
Come with us, Mary, come.

5. The Coronation – Mary is crowned queen of Heaven and earth.

Word of God: “A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with

the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her
head.” (Rev 2:1)

“God will wipe away all tears from their eyes…” Did not Jesus say that
those who mourn will be consoled? (Mt.5:5) The sight of a mother
consoling her child who comes home weeping is always a moving sight,
but nothing in comparison with God consoling us and filling our heart
with joy on reaching heaven. If God is so generous with us already here
on earth, what will his generosity in heaven be? We shall share his life,
his joy, his light as much as we are able to share; whatever is his will be
ours, and that for every.
1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary, Glory be …
Chorus:
Be with us, Mary, along the way. Guide every step we take.
Lead us to Jesus, your loving Son.
Come with us, Mary, come.

Hail Holy Queen…….

Concluding Prayer:
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ.
Father in Heaven, we rejoice at the triumph of so many men and women whom
the Spirit led to live in accordance to the Gospel and who today share your life
and glory in heaven. May their intercession help us live according to the faith
we profess that we too may one day join them in praising your love for all men.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Concluding Hymn
I will to my God

O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good (3)

Yes, eternal is his love.

I will sing to my God never ceasing

All my life, I will tell of his wonders:
He’s the maker of all earth and heaven,
Of the ocean, the seas and all they hold.
