‘am’, ‘is’ and ‘are’ are parts of the Present Tense Family.
‘am’, ‘is’ dan ‘are’ adalah sebahagian dari keluarga Present Tense.

Rules of using ‘am’, ‘is, and ‘are’

Cara-cara penggunaan ‘am’, ‘is’ dan ‘are

‘am’ is used before or after I.

‘am’ digunakan sebelum ataupun selepas I.

‘is’ is used after a single noun.

‘is’ digunakan untuk benda-benda tunggal / bilangannya cuma satu.

‘are’ is used after nouns.

‘are’ digunakan untuk benda-benda yang banyak / lebih dari satu.

In spite of that, word such as ‘you’, even though it is single, will be

using ‘are’.
Walaupun begitu, perkataan seperti ‘you’, walaupun is tunggal, akan
menggunakan ‘are’.

i. Read the sentence and identify the object before or after the
blank space.

ii. Think about the rules of using ‘am’, ‘is’ and ‘are’.
