Tree diagrams:
1. Without replacement
2. With replacement.

WITH REPLACEMENT:

1. A bag contains 5 red balls and 3 green balls. A ball is drawn at random
and then replaced. Another ball is drawn.
What is the probability that

(a) Both balls are green

(b) First ball red and second ball green
(c) Balls are red and green
(d) Both balls are red.

2. A bag contains 10 discs; 7 are black and 3 are white. A disc is selected,
and then replaced. A second disc is selected.

Find:
(a) Draw tree diagram to illustrate the information
(b) Find the probability of both discs are black
(c) Find the probability of one is black and another on is white.
(d) Find the probability of first one is white and second one is black.
(e) Find the probability of first one is black and second one is white.
(f) Find the probability of both discs are white.
3. Natalie has 8 socks in a drawer. 5 of the socks are black. 3 of the socks
are white. Natalie takes out a sock at random, writes down its colour and
puts it back into the drawer. Then Natalie takes out a second sock, at
random, and writes down its colour. (a) Complete the probability tree
diagram.
