Relive the best Mel Gibson movies before Force of Nature

As PVR Pictures release the year’s most awaited action thriller Force of Nature on Indian
screens, we bring you lead star Mel Gibson’s finest blockbusters to relive the Hollywood
heartthrob’s magic.

BRAVEHEART
This epic tale of war, love, honour and sacrifice saw Gibson not only act but also helm the
movie as a director. The film went on the fetch the superstar a much coveted Oscar for best
direction. It follows the story of 13th Century Scottish warrior William Wallace and his
valorous battle against King Edward I of England, which ultimately lead to him being
martyred. While it won numerous plaudits from critics, the period drama also went on to
become a massive success at the global box office, being considered a true classic today.

If you want to begin your revision of the Gibsonverse, Braveheart may be the ideal place.

LETHAL WEAPON
Is there a more iconic duo than Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh? The electric combo of a
trigger happy loon and a paranoid parrot set the stage on fire, going on to spin a massively
loved franchise that churned as many as four films.

The buddy comedy saw Gibson co star with Danny Glover, two polar opposite LAPD
detectives that are forced to work as partners. What happens next is pure movie magic as
the dynamic duo won over audiences with their hilariously adorable comic timing and
instantly likeable on screen chemistry.

In the mood for a Gibson film with some light hearted fun? Lethal Weapon is the film for
you!

MAD MAX
This, as they say, is where all the madness began. Mad Max saw Gibson team up with fellow
Aussie George Miller to tell a wonderfully wicked post apocalyptic tale that involved guns,
bikes, explosions and everything in between.

The beautifully chaotic masterpiece went on to become one of the most profitable films in
history and also marked Gibson as a talent to look out for. That the actor went on to rise as
Hollywood royalty just signifies how destined he was for stardom.

You can’t call yourself a true Mel Gibson fan if you haven’t watched Mad Max!

FORCE OF NATURE
Once you are done revisiting a classic dash of retro Gibson, it’s time to meet his all new and
updated version, Mel Gibson 2.0! The legend isn’t done yet, as he is ready with his latest
release Force of Nature, an edge of the seat action thriller filled with nail biting twists and
turns.

Just like old wine, Mel gets better with age, starring as ex cop Ray, a cranky old man who
refuses to leave his apartment when a hurricane hits the city. Much against the wishes of his
daughter, Ray wants to stay put, but little do they know a dangerous heist is about to take
place in the building. As the perfect storm threatens their lives, Ray decides to not back
down without a fight, thus leading to a whirlwind ride that promises to entertain viewers.
The film also features Kate Bosworth, Emile Hirsch and David Zayas.

Well, the heart wants what the heart wants and if your hearts wants a little bit of Gibson,
rush to your nearest theatres, and don’t forget your masks!

A big shout out to PVR Pictures for reviving the Gibson mania by releasing Force of Nature!

"Force of Nature", a film by Micheal Polish, releases in cinemas on October 23 rd.
